Neil Adebowale - Independents Chartered 


Neil Adebowale is director of Independents, the award-winning specialist Chartered Insurance Broker.  His 10 years at Independents has focused on close work with leisure operators including the co-authoring of a gym specific risk management guide, assisting operators in that sector with injury prevention and defensibility.

Since the growth of the trampoline park sector in the UK, the knowledge of other leisure operations has been invaluable as a base of knowledge.  Furthermore Neil has traveled to the US to meet with operators, insurance brokers and manufacturers to gain further insight into the trampoline park market.  Independents have arranged insurances for over 75 trampoline parks across the UK.

Neil now sits on the IATP UK Subcommittee and was involved in the writing of PAS 5000 being a member of the BSI Steering Group, attending all meetings for drafting of the standard.



Arch Adams - President & CEO - Fun Spot Trampolines 

Arch Adams: Arch has been in the trampoline business his whole life starting at the age of one when his father Andy Adams made Fun Spot's first backyard trampoline. For years Fun Spot was the largest trampoline dealer both, domestic and international, but finally when Arch took over the family business, he saw unique opportunity in the trampoline park sector. At its inception, Arch was the only manufacturer to help start the trampoline park industry association, and was the only manufacturer to sit on the ASTM board to establish the industry safety standards that we still meet and exceed today. He has continued to pioneer innovation now manufacturing Hollywood style ninja courses, interactive climbing walls, ropes courses, and still today continues to provide assistance to establishing safe practices abroad in the U.K. and future European countries implementing their own safety standards. To date we have equipped over 500 trampoline parks with our materials worldwide, over 220 of which are full turn key installations.

Nick Booth, Managing Director & Owner - Continental Sports Ltd. 


Nick is the Managing Director and owner of Continental Sports Ltd of the UK - a company with a 100,000 square feet manufacturing facility and 115 employees in the UK. Continental is the largest UK manufacture of equipment for sports halls, gymnastics, physical education and competition trampolining. Since 2015 Continental have developed a range of products for trampoline parks and have now manufactured and installed the trampolines, Ninja Warrior Courses and innovative elements such as Trampoline Volleyball Courts in 25 parks across the UK.


Peter Brown, Managing Director - Freedome Park


Peter serves on the IATP Board and as the IATP UK Sub-Committee Chair. He lead the charge on the design and implementation of a British Standard as technical author, working to ensure that parks in the UK operate at optimally safe levels. He joined the Sky Zone team in 2016 as Managing Director of the UK and European brand Freedome Parks.


Tom Compaijen, CEO - Comapijen C&C

Tom Compaijen is an expert in crisis management and crisis communication and has his own consultancy and training firm called Compaijen C&C. Previously, Tom worked on crisis for the Ministry of Health and the City of Amsterdam in The Netherlands. In these jobs, Tom was an advisor for several crisis and events among which the visit of US President Obama to Amsterdam (2014); impact on Amsterdam of crash flight MH17 (2014); white heroin warning campaign Amsterdam (2014); SAIL (2015); the impact on The Netherlands of EHEC bacteria (2011, Germany) and of Fukushima (2011, Japan). Among Compaijen C&C’s clients are government organizations, NGO’s and businesses from the cultural, event- and entertainment industry. More information on


Matthew Cummings, Business Development Manager -  Control Group International

Helen Findon, Marketing & Communications Officer - Control Group


Helen joined Control Group in 2016 and was instrumental in delivering the launch of TP1 at last year’s European IATP Conference. Helen carried out extensive market research in risk management, insurance compliance and regulatory requirements within the trampoline industry resulting in the all-encompassing system design launched by Control Group as TP1. Interesting fact - with a PhD in molecular genetics, she’s 1-part scientist and 2-parts marketer.


Andrew Gore, Technical Director, Inspector & Engineer; Techincal Director/Co-Owner - Specialist Technical Services (UK) Limited


After Studying Engineering at The University of Huddersfield Andrew Gore worked in the Oil and Gas Industry Testing, Inspecting & Repairing equipment for companies such as Rolls Royce & E-ON. Following this Andrew moved into the construction industry Testing and Inspecting on civils structures such as bridges, Tunnels and many buildings. Notable projects being Crossrail, Mersey Gateway Bridge and the new Forth Road Bridge. These skills and experiences were transferred to the leisure sector where STS (U.K) began testing and inspecting trampoline parks & ninja parks, where the company are now Independent Inspectors for the IATP.


Andrew Gore also has Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) status and as a member of both BSI & RoSPA holds high regards for health and safety for all industries.


Simon Heap - Rugged Interactive


Simon is a highly experienced product designer and entrepreneur, with a record of creating successful market leading products and founding start-ups, including And Design, Design for Sport, SeeOutside and Rugged Interactive. As head of Design for Sport he has worked with many elite athletes, leading companies and Olympic teams so a development into manufacture was a natural progression. Simon founded Rugged Interactive in 2009 and it has established a strong reputation in Fitness, Elite sport, Schools and recently Trampoline Parks.

Together Simon and Harry have built Rugged Interactive into a fast-growing technology business which now supplies companies and individuals all around the world. Harry Stevens - Rugged Interactive


Harry is Rugged’s Co-MD and Commercial Director, who joined forces with Simon back in 2011 after a varied business career in the Leisure, IT and Advertising industries. A Spanish and Russian speaker, Harry worked in business development and operations in the UK, France, Russia and Holland before setting up a Family Entertainment Centre in Bristol, which he still owns (although he leaves the day to day management to others!)

Phillip Howell - CEO, Best American Trampolines


Phillip Howell is the President and CEO of Best American Trampolines/Best American Amusement Group. He proudly served as a founding IATP board member from 2012-2016. He has also contributed to the evolution of the trampoline park industry by providing innovative park designs and cutting-edge attractions that have transformed trampoline parks to entertainment centers that encourage healthy fun for the whole family.

Best American has maintained its reputation as a leader in the trampoline park industry by providing a superior American made product and by cultivating and maintaining lasting relationships with independent clients and trampoline park franchise groups which include Rockin’ Jump, House of Air, and AirTime.


Alastair McLeod - Veracity


Alastair has twenty-five years’ experience in senior technical and marketing management including eighteen at company director level. He has expertise in the development and marketing of electronic imaging, image processing, CCTV, video surveillance, digital video recording and storage products, developing one of the first “smart cameras” in 1993 for industrial inspection.  He has been involved in several start-up businesses, three of them as co-founder.


Alastair’s strength lies in his product vision and in the communication of these ideas.  He has a long track record of successful product innovation and in the management and leadership of technical and commercial teams.


Jeroen Otter, Short Track Coach - Dutch Olympic Team


After his sports career, Jeroen Otter leaves for the United States with only one assignment from the American Federation: relay medals for the USA team for both men and women. Eventually, the new coach leaves the Lillehammer Olympic Games with gold, silver, and bronze twice. In total, Otter worked six years in the USA and three years in Canada as coach. In 2010, he was appointed by the Royal Dutch Skating Union (KNSB) as national coach of the Dutch short trackers. In the following seasons, the Netherlands has become leading in Europe and was battling on the global scene. Sjinkie Knegt won the first Olympic medal for the Netherlands during Sochi 2014. Jorien ter Mors, on the other hand, knew to surprise everyone by winning gold twice on the long track as a short tracker. Many successes at European Championships, World Cups, and World Cup events followed. In 2015, Knegt won the World Allround Championships.  During the Games of PyeongChang, Otter’s team won six medals. Historic gold for Suzanne Schulting and Jorien ter Mors, silver for Sjinkie Knegt, Yara van Kerkhof and the American affiliated Krueger. 


Ed Reed, VP of Construction - JumpStreet

Ed has been involved in the indoor trampoline park industry since 2008. He is one of the founding board members of IATP and an original member of the ASTM subcommittee that developed F2970-13 for the design, manufacture and installation of indoor trampoline parks. Ed currently serves as the Vice Chair of the ASTM Task Group. He currently serves as the IATP Secretary-Treasurer and Certification Chair. Mr. Reed worked diligently to assist in the development of IATP Service Tech Certification. He has overseen the expansion and construction of 20 Jumpstreet locations in 8 states, and has been instrumental in developing policy and negotiating trampoline park regulation in several states.  


Michael Reid, Sales Director - Polar Krush

Michael started working life in the leisure industry working his way up to operations manager for a group of bars and restaurants giving him a comprehensive understanding of the customer service and the maximising of the margin from every visitor. Since then he has worked hard using that knowledge to support and help customers maximise their earning potential through the offering of increased margin products and maximising customer engagement with them. Michael passes this passion and desire on to a team of dedicated professionals who aim every day to maximise the return for their customers.

Stephanie Ruby, Director of Marketing - International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP) 

Stephanie is a digital marketing and communications specialist. She has worked with organizations ranging from Michelin Star-rated restaurant groups to U.S. Congressional races to international nonprofits, helping identify and leverage authentic brand voices across many different platforms and social media channels. She is a natural storyteller who believes that engaging, organic content builds brand loyalty by aligning perceptions and realities. She holds a B.A. from the University of Florida and is currently based in Pennsylvania

Dave Schaeffer, Co-Founder - House of Air

In 2010 Dave made use of his extensive background in action sports and trampoline instruction to open House of Air, an indoor trampoline park located in a historic military aircraft hanger in the Presidio of San Francisco.  Since then, House of Air has continued to be a pioneer in trampoline training and instruction and has pushed the envelope in innovative trampoline equipment.  Dave is an original member of the ASTM subcommittee on trampoline courts and a founding board member and current Chairman of the IATP.  He enjoys surfing and ice cream, but not at the same time.


Hans van Leeuwen, Trend Watcher - Pleasure World

Hans van Leeuwen, a former sportsman, journalist and top business entrepreneur is seen as an inspiration in the world of sports, recreation, tourism, and leisure. He does regular lectures on daytime recreational accommodation, destination development, European integration, communication, motivation, endurance, innovation for regional marketing, sports and adventure, media, guest experiences, and storytelling. Hans has done a dozen appearances in recent years that highlight his presentation in the European Parliament. In addition, Hans van Leeuwen, trend watcher, and expert in leisure is available to serve as a chairman, discussion leader or a guest speaker.

Christoffer Thorsheim - CEO Freedom Norway & Iceland


Christoffer started his career in ship management and logistics for the Wilh. Wilhelmsen Group, with specialisation in logistics in challenging locations (Djibouti/Congo/Equatorial Guinea) 

He started his first company in 2007 when he founded Thorsheim mat, a one-man business, that sold frozen fish door to door. The company never broke even.  


He had better success with his second company, when he founded and managed WT Logistics in 2009, which transported US military equipment in Afghanistan. The company had over 200 employees at its peak, and was sold at solid profit. 


In 2013 he helped his wife Thea set up Ed Tech Solutions, a web-based e-learning portal. EdTech solutions is currently a leading e-learning platform in the B2B market with “GetBee", with clients including Microsoft, and a massive open platform with thousands of teachers in the C2C market with “TeachMeNow".

His latest venture is Hopp Nordic AS, which is the company that owns and operator of Sky Zone Franchise in Scandinavia.


Mark van Rooij , Creative Director/Co-Owner - Kinetic Creative


From a very early age, Mark has always been inspired by the amusement and entertainment world. Before and during his studies Mark had multiple roles at Efteling Amusement park (The Netherlands). During his studies he had taken part in the international college program at the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando Florida, where he worked at Disney's Epcot and Cirque du Soleil. 

Mark graduated in 2013 at the University of Applied Sciences, NHTV in Breda, The Netherlands. Mark wrote his thesis about the market proposition of a new energy efficient ice rink system and worked on the designs for a new winter event: ICE*Amsterdam. After his graduation in 2013 he started to work at that same company, Swedice. For over two years Mark made multiple designs and played a mayor role in the development and innovation of new play products.  In 2016 Mark founded the company Kinetic Creative. Kinetic Creative helps operators and suppliers of attraction and playground equipment to make their operations and facilities more unique and memorable, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.

At Sidijk we work every day with passion on air and foam filled products for leisure, sport and industry. Our 105 employees are based in our modern production and office facility in Heerenveen, The Netherlands. Our broad variety of products – e.g. trampoline parks, ninja courses, indoor playgrounds – are installed all over the world. Klaas is responsible for the Sales & Marketing of Sidijk. Joris Naalden, CEO - Jump XL


Joris Naalden, a former M&A adviser with a background in corporate law and in-house strategy consulting / banking, made his move into the trampoline park early 2017 and now puts his deal making and negotiation skills to use in executing Jump XL’s rapid European expansion strategy. Joris heads Jump XL’s HQ (based in the Netherlands) in re-shaping the Jump XL organization from a franchise-based formula into a centrally-led organization that fully owns all the parks that are operating under the Jump XL brand. In the first phase in its international roll-out (December ’17 – May ’18) Jump XL has added 6 parks to its international network.


Simon Wilkinson - Absorb 


Simon Wilkinson is a consultant to the trampoline park industry under the brand Absorb Park Support. Simon has worked in leisure for well over 15 years now, managing large leisure teams of over 100 persons in truly high risk environments.


 In June 2014 Simon joined one of the first trampoline parks in the UK and quickly started working with other park operators to establish what is now known as the UK Subcommittee of the IATP. With the rest of the UK subcommittee Simon has campaigned for safer operating standards in trampoline parks, developed a global standard for injury classification, and developed a comparative platform for park operators across the world to benchmark their injury prevention strategy outcomes.

As a serial learner Simon has studied law with the institute of legal executives (ILEX), Media Production at Foundation Degree level, and an applied Psychology degree, focused on learning, management and influence.

Under the brand Absorb Park Support, Simon now delivers a broad range of service from complete trampoline park business builds (Park, Brand, Operations and Infrastructure Development), to media packages, and full pre-opening packages including staff training and safety briefings.


Brandon Willey, CEO - FetchRev


Brandon has more than 10 years of executive leadership experience in sales, marketing and business operations. Prior to taking the helm as CEO at FetchRev, a customer retention software platform for local businesses and franchises, Brandon established and grew scalable sales, marketing, customer success and fulfillment teams at,, FrontSpin and Hopscratch. Now back in Tempe, Arizona, Brandon and the FetchRev team builds software that helps businesses to engage their guests.


Veneta Yanyova - Walltopia Active Entertainment


Veneta Yanyova is part of Walltopia since 2016 and is currently responsible for the sales activities of the company in Europe, Central and South America. Prior to joining Walltopia, Ms. Yanyova was Marketing and Communications responsible for Italcementi Group Bulgaria and Brand Manager in Policolor - Orgachim. Ms. Yanyova holds MBA degree from University of Sheffield, Master of Commerce and Bachelor of Marketing from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia.



Joost Witsenburg, Consultant - NEN


Joost Witsenburg (1979) studied Industrial design engineering at Delft University of technology. He works at NEN, the Dutch standardization institute, NEN is the Dutch gateway to European standardization at CEN and international standardization at ISO. Joost is the secretary of the Dutch standardization committee on Trampoline parks. His other work at NEN includes committees on Fitness centres and Gymnastics and playing field equipment.



Darren Hedges, Co-Founder and Owner - Airhop


Darren traded financial markets in London for 20 years before opening one of the first trampoline parks in the UK in June 2014. He and his business partner now have 7 parks spread across the UK, Sweden and Germany. He sits on the board of the IATP in the US and was one of the founding members of the UK sub committee.
